Sunday Morning at Schumaker Park

My favorite thing to hear on the weather channel these days is "unseasonably warm"...bcasuse that means that I can keep pushing through with outdoor photo shoots. The J family wanted to meet at Schumaker Park for some family pics, and it was a nice change of pace, as this isn't somewhere I often shoot. We got some cute ones, ang got our exercise on the play equiptment- nothing like a two year old to keep you on your toes!

Engaged!

So this session started off with a bang, literally! I won't get into details, but I did make quite the entrance! S and S were super cute, and told me one of my favorite engagement stories to date---mad points for creativity and personalization there. We had a great time hopping through town, and all over Pemberton this afternoon....oh, and how cute are these two when they snuggle? I love love! Congratulations you two--can't wait for the wedding!

Christmas Dress!

What a cute little Christmas dress, modeled by Miss M. We are doing family pics this week, but wanted to split up the two sessions for optimal attention....I usually get a solid three minutes out of Miss M before she's done with a session...so today worked out perfectly. Fingers crossed it goes as smoothly Wednesday!

Double the Joy!

Seriously---I loved these little guys. So darling in their sweaters, jeans, and shoes (for the first time)! Dad is a photog and looking for some family shots for Christmas gifts! We braved some wind and chills to get these shots on full turkey bellies, but i think it was totally worth it! Awesome seeing you all!

Spunky Little Man

So this little man was my most challenging newborn...totally awake, and totally unhappy with getting his picture taken. We tried everything in the book, to no avail. Mom tried her magic, grandmom stepped in to help, but every time we would lay him down to get a shot he wasn't having it...such a spunky little monkey!

Alert and Adored Mr. A

When Mr. A's mom emailed me to set up the session I was concerned because he was much older than my typical "newborn":...I know it sounds funny to say that a 3 week old (ok, three weeks and two days) is old, but we photographers get a little nervous ay any baby over about a week and a half! Well, Mr. A started off the session super alert and with some great eye contact, but we eventually soothed (and fed) him to sleep. So glad we were able to get these shots. Congrats Y family on your new addition!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Waking up to the sound of this little guy Thanksgiving morning was so sweet. Mom and I were college roomies and look at us now, mommies of two beautiful little boys (the irony was not lost on me either that we were in the same house we lived in in college too!). Little A was quite the gentleman at out mini photo session, and was only minimally distracted by the Turkey Trotters at Pemberton in the morning. Love you guys!!!

I Heart Downtown Annapolis!

It's always fun, although a bit nerveracking, to shoot somewhere you have never taken pictures before. However, as soon as we started walking around downtown Annapolis, I was so excited, and the anxiety just disappeared. It was a beautiful day, a beautiful family, and a beautiful place to take some family photos. Add to that that the baby whisperer was watching my little man as we shot, it was mom's birthday(hence the long post- my gift to mom) , and we ran into a wild turkey (no, not that kind)--that kind of morning can't be beat! Did I have fun today- yes or no? YES!!!!
