Baby Brother!

Little man L (who isn't really all that little ) is one lucky little dude---he was welcomed in to this world by one incredible family, one that I have had the pleasure with working with a few times this past year!  But, I think most excited about this little man are his two adorable, and doting older sisters. We missed the "newborn window" for his pics, so the sleepy shots were few and far between, but we still got some cute ones!  It was wonderful spending time with you all this morning- looking forward to seeing you in the fall, if not before. My Sweet, Sweet Boy!

So I have been feeling quite sentimental lately- it seems that my little baby boy is growing up...he tears around the house in his walker, loves watching basketball with daddy, eats "big boy" food (can't you tell he loves to eat!), and jabbers the day away --along with some other pretty entertaining noises! I realized that I had not whipped out the "real" camera to take pics of him since early February---slacker mom, and wanted to catch a few shots while that fuzzy hair is still sticking up in the air and before he starts crawling away from the camera instead of grinning at it. Time really flies...

Welcome Spring!

Ahhh, it could not have been any more beautiful today, and I was so happy that I had plans to be meeting this adorable family at Pemberton Park to do some family pics!  Little Miss A is a week older than my little man and gave me a run for my money---super cute, and super not interested in smiling for the camera...to her credit it was a little bright out, and there were a lot of new things to be seen and heard.  Unfortunately, not to be seen were the green grass and beautiful spring blooms one would hope to find on such a gorgoeous day, but thanks goodness for waterfalls, brick walls, wooden barns, and the cutest family ever!  Happy Spring everyone!

McCutie!

Ok, so I got a little carried away, with it's being St. Patty's Day and all, with the blog header...but he really is adorable!  Mom warned me that little I was probably not going to cooperate, and that he cried when he was put down....so we put him down and held our breath....and he slept...would wake up and give me the cutest little crosseyed look, and go back to sleep...didn't mind the hats, or being moved too much, and was a real gentleman.....maybe it was St. Patty's Day luck, or maybe he just liked me! Either way, I'm smitten....20 comments to teb blog earns this family an 8x10 from their session!

Soulful Eyes and An Elusive Smile

This beautiful little girl had the most expressive, soulful little eyes I have ever seen on baby, and an even more elusive little smile. We did capture it a few times, but she made her mom, grandmother, and I really work for them.  It was such a pleasure meeting you all, can't wait to get those family shots (big brother wasn't home, but i saw pics, and the camera loves him!). Thanks so much for having me out to your home today. And, spread the word- 20 comments on the blog earns this family an 8x10 from their session.

why i do what i do...

Kristin,

Kate has shared your website with me and I am absolutely dumbfounded. These wonderful pictures that you have taken of Ava Grace are so special. As her grandmother I may be a bit partial but I am so delighted. When I look at these I cry with happy tears. Thank you so much.

I appreciate your creativeness and yet the naturalness of all the babies. You have a gift! I hope that this finds you and your family doing well.

Mary Ann

PS- I cried happy tears when I got this email. I am so lucky to be doing something I love that can touch people so much!

Meet Eliya, My New Baby Cousin!

Welcoming a new baby into your family has got to be the most incredible thing in the world. Meet Eliya, my new baby cousin.  She is the most adorable little thing I have ever seen (and I"m not just saying that because she takes after our side of the family), and I could have cuddled her all day.  At five days old she was the perfect combination of fiesy and sweetie pie, and I am so happy to have had the opportunity to meet her, and take her newborn pictures.  Congratulations Brycen and Beth--she's perfect, and you two make wonderful parents! Love you all!

Sleepyhead C and his Adorable Big Sister

Sleepy babies just put me on a high, and little C had me smiling all day and night (still smiling actually).  C and family live "on the other side of the bridge" and the drive home was the longest---I could not wait to check these out, and they did not disapoint.  This session was one of my favorites to date--sleepy baby, clean blankets(although my shirt and the floor weren't so lucky), cooperative and adorable older sibling, awesome light, and an amazing family- I could not have asked for more! Thanks so much for letting my capture this remarkable time in the story of your family. Remember, 20 comments to the blog earns this family an 8x10 from their session!

8 Month Old Stunner!

Little A wasn't so thrilled when we did her pictures back around Christmas, and we caught her on a much happier day today!  I think this girl was meant to wear tutus and flowers- watch out mom and dad.    I'm so glad we got to visit today, and just as excited about A's pics. I played around in photoshop with a few of these for some different effects...a faded vintage look for the first couple, and then the last is called butterscotch kiss--super cute! Love ya!
