Little Cupcake!
I call her that, becasue when you look at the last shot, that's wat she reminded me and mom of! Just a few quick ones of this little 3 day old beauty! We're doing her real session tomorrow, but she was dying to model someof my new headbands and hats for me, and she was too sweet to resist!
She Just Keeps Getting Cuter...
This little sweetheart gets cuter and cuter every time I see her. She was kind enough to do a little bit of modeling for me this morning (the headbands are from an adorable shop on etsy called polka dot bungalow, and she needed some pics for her shop!), and was a trooper, despite the heat and the bugs! Mom and dad were a huge help---thanks so much guys! Have a great week, and see you soon!
On the Eve of...SENIOR YEAR!
So nothing says summer like Ocean City and the boardwalk, so it was a little bit bittersweet going down to the inlet last night to shoot this gorgeaus girls senior portraits , knowing that summer was slowly rolling to a halt. Symbolically enough, we did her pictures on the eve of her first day of her senior year of high school.....hope today went great for you B, and it was a joy spending time with you and your dad (ps- I'm totally not just saying that b/c he bought me ice cream at Dumsers after your session either!). Remember, leave a comment if you like what you see (she needs 20)and this gorgeous senor will get a complimentary 8x10 from her session.

Splish Splash!
Beach pics are always super tough with kiddos--the sand and the waves make for some really big distractions. This sweet girl let us get a few shots in though, and then we let her go and got some adorable shots playing in the water with mom and dad! It was wonderful meeting you all, and so glad we had such a gorgeous night for photos! Twenty comments to the blog earns this fmaily an 8x10, so if you like what you see, leave some love!

fall mini sessions!
I am going to be holding three sets of mini sessions, one in the Baltimore County area (October 2nd- morning appointments only), one towards the Annapolis area (October 3rd- morning and afternoon appointments) , and another in Salisbury (October 24th, raindate november 7th- morning and afternoon appointments). Mini sessions are ideal for the families who just want to get a few shots for their Christmas cards/gifts and do not entail the variety of posings, groupings that reglar sessions do. Sessions must be paid in full to reserve your spot (there will be a three day grace period between time of request to wait for your payment) , and are non-refundable unless session is cancelled on account of weather, or by photographer. There will be a raindate for the Salisbury mini sessions- you must be available both dates in order to schedule. Sessions will be back to back and at a location selected by the photographer. The specific locations have not yet been determined for Baltimore/Annapolis area, Salisbury will likely be Pemberton Park. Details will be finalized within one week of the session. You are responsible for being ready at your appointment time, and having children dressed and ready to go. Sessions are $100 and include a disk with five-ten images from your session. Christmas cards will be available at a discounted rates (25% off) to clients who participate in the mini sessions. If you are interested, please shoot me an email at kristinstaples@comcast.net to secure your spot--thank you!

Sizzling Senior Portraits
We did a "senior portrait" photo shoot a few weeks back to gear up for an upcoming "Guide to Your Senior Portrait" that details what to wear, etc. and not only was it a blast, but it blew away any expectation we could have had. Katie, at The Velvet Pearl let us borrow some of their amazing fashions for the shoot, and a huge thank you goes out to her, and also so my fantastic intern/coordinator/stylist Brittani for her efforts. Katie and Meagan did a beautiful job getting the girls ready with bangin' hair and makeup. You ladies are incredible and so talented! The models were amazing and we couldn't have done it without them- thank you to Ali, Allison, NyJa and Jessica! I am soooo ready for senior portraits this season--woo hoo! A few shots that I just had to share....

Cutie Cousins!
These adorable little cousins dragged their parents to Pemberton Park for a quick photo shoot the other night in between the rain showers. Mom and I were hesitant to go along as scheduled but the rain took an intermission and allowed up to get some family shots...then, after another quick shower we were able to get some of the kiddos alone. Now, these shots weren't easy- for curious little kiddos the grass, rocks, shells, sticks were pretty exciting...but, we got a few great ones! Glad we chanced it out with the weather, and remember, 20 comments to the blog earns this family an 8x10 from their session.

Play Ball.
So at age ten, N is really into baseball , so what better place to get some photos of him than the ball field (totally mom's wonderful idea!)? We really lucked out and got a gorgeous evening, and had a blast! We got the whole family in on the action---his number one fan (mom), his favorite coach (dad), and his soon-to-be agent (little brother was on the cell phone--he he he!). N got to show of his skills on the mound, at catcher, and even at bat--talented guy there...Shorebirds may have to start scouting him soon :) Tahnks for a super fun time, and remember- 20 comments to the blog earns this family an 8x10 from their session.

Sunshine, On a Cloudy Day! (Annapolis Newborn Photographer)
This little guy was just adorable, and in looking aat his pics, reminds me a lot of my little guy when he was born- maybe that's why I was so smitten with him. Today was such a dreary, yucky day, but spending it with this family totally brightened my outlook. Now, this little squirt definitely had his opinions on how the session should go, but was overall very cooperative. We had quite a few "accidents" (hence the "little squirt" reference), but what's a wet floor, wet blanket, wet pants, when you get shots like these? I'm, so glad we were able to get together you guys- enjoy that precious little man of yours. And remember, 20 blog commetns will earn you an 8x10 for little L's nursery!
