It's a Small World After All...

Salisbury is such a small town---I was having dinner with some wonderful friends last night and one of them mentioned a friend who just had a baby and named him the same name as we are naming our new addition, and to top that off, her older son shares the same name as mine---crazy huh? So then, that night I get an email from this lovely momma inquiring about newborn pics!  I just had to meet her, considering she has such exceptional taste in boy names, and so we were able to squeeze her in this morning, and the "small worldness" didn't stop there.....ahhh, living in a small town can be too funny!  Anyway, we chatted like old friends, and I managed to pull off a few adorable shots of her new addition!  Great meeting you momma! 9.10.11--Jamie and Jay's Wedding Day

I am always so honored to be asked be a part of a couple's wedding day- it means so much to me that they trust me with such precious images!  Today could not have been any more lovely--- the bride and her 'maids were just stunning, the groom and his groomsmen  kept me laughing all day, the ceremony was touching, the reception was a blast, and we had a ton of fun with portraits!  Going to post a quick peek ad then this girl's off to bed---congratulations lovebirds!

This darling little girl was so clearly adored by her family that it just melted my heart.  At only three days old, she had them all wrapped around her perfect little fingers.  I have known dad for a while, and seeing him as a daddy was just endearing, and then having the opportunity to meet his lovely wife and her parents, and to see them falling so in love with this precious little girl, was just remarkable. Another Gorgeous Evening!

One Tough Little Peanut

This little guy is a fighter----a tough little peanut. He has had mommy in and out of the hospital since week 6 and has been scaring the heck out of his family since then. Momma didn't have an easy road with this one, but I have heard that the hard pregnancies/l&d lead to really easy babies, so if that's the case, this little guy will be a piece of cake.  Although he did put up quite a fight when it came to his pics, so we'll just have to wait and see I guess....it was so wonderful catching up momma---next time it WILL be over Chipotle!  Enjoy your sneak peek and remember, 20 comments on the blog  and little man Z will score a complimentary 8x10 with his order!

Just Beachy! (Assateague Family Portraits)

So, I know Irene made last weekend very difficult, but, maybe as a sign of her remorse, it has been the most beautiful week down at the beach that I can remember in a really long time.  Yes, the bugs are biting, but....the beach is gorgeous, the temperatures are mild, the ponies are out in abundance in Assateague, gorgeous sunsets, and I couldn't be happier. I was able to spend the evening with this lovely family (a referral from an awesome beach client form last year) and we got some really great shots. This little guy is mommy and daddy's hurricane baby....and although destruction and chaos come to mind when you think of hurricanes, this little fella was quite the opposite.
